Fees:

Hockey New Zealand has introduced Direct Member Affiliation, which requires all players to register on PlayHQ.

As a result, there are now two fee components:

Player Affiliation Fee

$12.50, paid by each player when they register on PlayHQ

Team Fee

$470.00 per team for the season

There is a minimum of 7 player registrations per team

If we do not have enough players to form a team we can apply to join another school’s team.

Equipment:

  • All players must wear a mouth guard.  It would be great if all mouth guard containers were named so we can help return lost ones to their owners!

  • Please also ensure drink bottles are named.

  • Any Lost Property can be reclaimed from the Lost Property area in the main entrance foyer at the McMillan Centre.

Parking:

As you will all be aware, the area is around the McMillan Centre is busy.  Street parks outside the Pavilion are now time restricted which will hopefully make parking access easier.  Please let your parents/caregivers/supporters know that the two Otago Hockey car parks are leased areas and are not available for parking.

Cancellations:

If a day needs to be cancelled due to weather conditions, I will email you all by midday and include a post on the Otago Hockey facebook page.

Otago Hockey Gear:

Hockey sticks are available for players that forget to bring a stick on a day aswell as for your Managers/Coaches so they can be active in the Training sessions.

Scores:

Game scores will be recorded to help with selection of balanced opposition teams each week.

A hockey stick, shin pads, pull up socks and a mouth guard are required to play.
