Tumuaki / Principal
About Me
Jen Rodgers joined the team as tumuaki/principal in 2016. Prior to this, Whaea Jen was the tumuaki/principal of Cheviot Area School for five years, and has been involved in education since the early 1990s, from primary through to tertiary. Whaea Jen has served on the executive of the Otago Primary Principals Association, and is a current member of the NZPF executive. Whaea Jen welcomes open communication with whanau and families to ensure that we are working together in partnership to support our learners. PA: dmacleod@stclair.school.nz
Luke Herden
Deputy Principal
About Me
Luke Herden is our deputy principal. He has taught in a number of schools in Dunedin, and joined us in 2022. Luke has a strong interest in digital technology, sport and the importance of relational leadership. Mr Herden leads St Clair School in the area of special education and is our school LENCO.
Deborah MacLeod
Executive Officer
About Me
Deborah MacLeod provides a cheerful welcome for parents and is a valuable source of information about the school. As Executive Officer, Deborah undertakes work associated with school finances and oversees the operation of the school's administration. Deborah also coordinates Jen's appointments and is a useful first-point-of-contact for many school matters. Deborah is also the Board secretary.

Vicky Caswell is our school librarian with responsibility for overall management of the library collection. Mrs Caswell is known for her fabulous sense of humour!

Helen provides administration support in the office. Helen always has a smile at the ready, and works with the other office staff to make sure all the things we need to keep the school ticking along are on track.

Jody Quedley
Learning Support Coordinator (LSC)
About Me
Jody Quedley is our Learning Support Coordinator and brings a proven commitment to the wellbeing and growth of children, young people, and their whānau, underpinned by advanced counselling, guidance, and pastoral care expertise. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Guidance Studies, a Diploma in Child and Youth Counselling, and specialist Seasons for Growth training, giving her a deep understanding of grief, change, resilience, and youth development. Her practice is compassionate, strengths-based, and informed by real-world experience supporting individuals through challenge, transition, and personal growth. Alongside her wellbeing and pastoral background, Jody has over 20 years' experience in learning support, inclusive education, and international teaching across France, Brunei, and Japan.
